Everything runs on time, the so called 4th dimension.
In one minute everything can happen that can change your life forever!
Some people call it destiny, others casualty, luck or lack of it, or just another challenge in life.
In one minute the world seems to be collapsing in front of you, in another minute you jump hysterically happy with your way of living.
In one minute you win the lottery, in another minute you loose all your money in the casino.
In one minute you get a promotion, in the next minute you get fired.
In one minute you fall asleep when you were driving, in another minute everybody crashes around you and your car stays intact.
In one minute you look at her and she smiles to you, in another minute she just turns her eyes away…
Have you ever thought about it? Why does it happen to others and not to you? Or why does it happen to you and not to others?
Why me? What have I done to deserve it? What can I do to change it? Probably I can’t do anything, but I can be alert and cautious and avoid mistakes and troubles… Is it enough to reach success or avoid disasters? I don’t know because there are many playable variables that I can’t control, but I guess that it can help just to think about it.
You don’t have to preview the future, you just need to control what is going to happen in the next damned minute.

Actually, I do often wonder about it. And I agree with you that we should be vigilant about what could next happen and avoid negative happenings if we could help it. At the same time, it's also wonderful that we can't control or predict everything and can still enjoy the element of surprise.
